About Design Dialectics
Alchemy of
Design Dialectics is a way to look at the design discipline. It unfolds the roots of design and design education. Design dialectics aspires to disclose "the truth" that leaps forth from a work, be it art or management, and disseminate it through teaching and consulting.
It takes the form of one-day seminar, semester-long course, a series of research articles or a full-fledged book.
Design Dialectics is an initiative by Dr. Abhishek Kumar to build creative capacities of students, faculty and professionals from the fields of management and design.
About Founder
Dr. Abhishek Kumar
Dr. Abhishek Kumar is the Principal of Army Institute of Management, Kolkata. He was earlier Associate Professor and Director Training at Anant National University, Ahmedabad. He holds a doctorate in management from Pondicherry University. His doctoral work was on creation of a scale to measure brand personality of media products. He was earlier Assistant Professor with BIM, Trichy and business leader in media, telecom and banking industry. His research and teaching interests are design philosophies, product design and analyses of social spaces.
